V úvodu se věnuje stručné charakteristice fenoménu světla a vizuálním vjemům (percepci). V další části vybírá z historie umělecká díla, jež jsou relevantní k tématu a naznačuje jejich nové použití nejen v galerijním prostředí, ale stále častěji také na festivalech světla. Poslední část analyzuje tvorbu samotné autorky v rámci současných intermediálních instalací a uvádí tak kontext obhajoby praktické části diplomové práce.. -- Abstrakt: This thesis is divided into four main chapters. It begins with the matter of how we see, with an investigation of the characteristics of phenomena of light and perception. The second chapter is a survey a selection of works from art history that are relevent to the subject of light art. In addition to reviewing this body of work, it also follows process of modifying the format of exhibitions and expanding new media festivals to better represent the medium. The last section is an analysis of the authors work with comparison of the current new media scene, as a contextual frame for the final master project.
