Cílem práce je analýza vztahu mezi těmito dvěma pojmy. Práce by měla nalézt odpověď na otázku, jestli lze sou-časný terorismus páchaný muslimy ospravedlnit Koránem a učením islámu, nebo je s nimi v rozporu. Metoda užívaná při psaní práce je analyticko-syntetická a komparativní. Důvo-dem pro zvolení tématu je jeho aktuálnost, jelikož nábožensky motivovaný terorismus je v současné době na vzestupu. V textu je věnován prostor rozdílným názorům na tuto pro-blematiku. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. V první kapitole se věnuji definování tero-rismu, v druhé kapitole se zabývám historickým vývojem islámu a Prorokem Mohame-dem. Třetí kapitola zkoumá vztah mezi islámem a terorismem. Klíčové pojmy zde předsta-vují islámský fundamentalismus a džihád. V poslední části práce shrnuji příčiny islámského terorismu a věnuji se také problematice muslimské migrace, muslimské kultuře, islamofo-bii a dalším pojmům, které ovlivňují diskurs v současné západní společnosti. V závěru do-spívám k přesvědčení, že islámský terorismus vychází nejen ze základů islámského učení a jeho textů, ale také z muslimské kultury, neboť kultura a náboženství spolu úzce souvisí.. -- Abstrakt: This thesis deals with Islam and terrorism. The aim of the final work is the analysis of the relationship between these two concepts. This th esis should find an answer to a question if Koran and the teaching of Islam can justify the contemporary terorism which is perpetrated by Muslims or if it is in conflict with them.Tle first method used was analyti-cal-synthetic and the second one was comparative. The main reason for choosing this topic was its topicality, as religiously motivated terrorism is currently on the rise. One part of the text also deals with different opinions of this issue. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is devoted to defining of terrorism. The second part of the the-sis deals with the historical development of Islam and the Prophet Mohamed. The third chapter examines the relationship between Islam and terrorism. Key concepts here re-present the Islamic fundamentalism and Jihad. In the last part of the thesis are summari-zed the causes of Islamic terrorism and also the issue of Muslim migration, Muslim cultu- re, Islamophobia and other concepts that influence the discourse in the contemporary Western society. At the end of this thesis we find that Islamic terrorism is not only the fundamentals of Islamic teachings and its text. The Islamic terrorism also results from Muslim culture because culture and religion are closely related.
