Cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda výuka šachu jako metoda činnostního učení na 1. stupni základní školy, bude efektivnější než metody klasické a zda žáci díky ní dosáhnou lepších výsledků. V úvodu teoretické části je vysvětlen pojem vyučovací metoda, klasifikace základních metod, popsána je podrobněji metoda činnostního učení. Poslední část je věnovaná šachu, projektu Šachy do škol a vysvětluje vztah šachu k matematice. Praktická část diplomové práce je postavena na pravidelné výuce šachu ve školním prostředí. Popisuje práci v hodinách a seznamuje s použitým testem. Následně se věnuje samotnému výzkumu, porovnání empirické a kontrolní skupiny a ověřování stanovených hypotéz.. -- Abstrakt: This thesis deals with the theme "Teaching chess as a method of learning by doing in teaching mathematics." The aim of the study was to determine whether the teaching chess as a method of activity learning in the primary school, will be more effective than common methods and whether pupil will achieve better results through this method. In the introduction to the theoretical part is explained the concept of teaching methods, classification of basic methods, and the description the method of activity learning in more detail. The last part of the thesis is devoted to chess, Chess in Schools Project and explains the relationship between chess and mathematics. The practical part of the thesis is based on regular teaching chess at school. It describes activities in lessons and introduces the test, which was used. Then it dedicates to the research, comparing experimental and control groups, and verification of hypotheses.
