Erwähnung der Rolle des Phantastischen und der Märchensymbolik.. -- Abstrakt: In my thesis I analyse literature of Michael Ende, particularly his children novels called Momo and The Neverending Story and their film versions. I compare similarities and differences between the originals and the films with respect to characters, plot and I also study whether the reasons why the novels were written were preserved. Moreover, I look into the meanings and functions of the fantasy literature and problems of its film making. My thesis also contains particular reviews of both novels and their film versions.
