Note Lic. smlouva Abstract Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou jinojazyčných, hlavně pak anglicky mluvících, filmů, zejména pak dabováním. Zaměřuje se hlavně na důsledky, které tato úprava může mít na roveň anglické gramotnosti diváků. K tomuto účelu slouží porovnání dat z projektu Evropské unie "The Assessment of Pupils` Skills in English in Eight Eurpean Countries``.Práce porovnává jak znalosti studentů jednotlivých zúčastněných států, tak způsoby jakými se žáci angličtině učí. Součástí diplomové práce je taktéž kapitola zabývající se historií a výrobou dabingu v České republice. Řeší taktéž důvody masivního užívání dabingu v některých evropských státech. Závěrečnou část tvoří zpracování diskusního šetření ohledně názorů tří věkově odlišných skupin studentů českého gymnázia na preference dabování či titulkování zahraničních filmů ve vztahu k zlepšení znalostí cizího jazyka. This diploma thesis deals with the problematic of foreign films adaptation, espesially of the English speaking ones, but mainly with the phenomenon of dubbing.It focuses on the consequences it can have on the English language students' achievements. For this purpose I used the data from "The Assessment of Pupils` Skills in English in Eight Eurpean Countries" which gathered comparable information about the methodology of teaching English and studets' results it has. In addition there are presented Czech grammar school students' opinions on the importance nondubbed films may have on their level of English. These were collected in a discussion research. One part of this thesis describes the history and the process of dubbing as well as the motivation of dubbing preferences in some European countries. Another responsib.
